Contemporary Cambodia is marked by years of war that devastated its population and level of social and economic development. If the country is now experiencing a strong growth, it is still hampered by the low level of education of its population, and by the lack of qualified professionals.
Following these events, Cambodia became a country of emigration for years, and now welcomes again young individuals of its diaspora, from France, the United States, Australia and other countries.
Either it is for a search for identity or economic opportunities, social engagement or business, backgrounds and career profiles differ but converge on the essentials, namely the desire to rediscover and serve our country. It is from this observation, and in order to gather and accompany this return movement, that the Anvaya Initiative was launched in 2010 - an independent, apolitical and non-profit organization.
